The Skimming Stones

The beach here is useless for building: every stone on it came out flat. The lagoon is level as a struck bell. Throw one, and touch it down at the right moment and the water refuses to take it — for a while. The water wins in the end. It always has.

Tap, or press the button, just as the stone comes down to the surface. Every skim sits lower and comes back faster. Snatch at it too early and the water takes it on the next touch.
